Ed Hardy Fashion Show...Quite honestly I wasn't amused with any of the pieces because his designs are too excessive. It distracts one from the message behind the design; No disrespect to the guy, or any designs similar such as Affliction, but the artistic expressions shout chaos, not style; in any case, I did appreciate the experience. Highlight of it all is that Dennis Rodman was the MC...no further comment!

Miami Beach was truly an experience...I felt that my acquaintance with Mother Nature has enhanced. The city and the people in it were beautiful, even the taxi drivers seem to appreciate life. My challenge to you is to define your beauty; upon my arrival a married man tells me in my hotel that life is short, enjoy it for what it is, not for what you want it to be; hence, life is too amazing to waste on the approval of others. On the beach I noticed a plethora of elderly couples in bathing suits (gentleman in tight Speedos and ladies in two pieces)! As humorous as it may seem to imagine, just think...these individuals at their older age are more confident in their body than we are in our youth. Express yourself, Embellish life...Peace!

Yes we've been cookin in the kitchen! This is the first Urban Anatomy accessory design collaboration. We have teamed up with the amazing accessory designer Clever Trevor to release the "8 Bit Bowtie". The pieces will be released this summer. Looook Out!

New Slum Village!!!!

This is the latest body of work from Slum Village. They released an EP (that no one knew about) in the begining of December called Manifesto. This is amazingly consistent and definitely got the job done as far as building a buzz for their next album, The Second Coming. Wrap yourself in the melody and the content of the music. Slow deep breaths escape my lungs. I feel like I'm in a fairy tale. Experiencing a moment in life that is complete, desired, free, and whimsical. This for me is a time for reflection. Reflecting on the day that I fell in love with music, with hip hop, and with Jay Dilla. He's an amazing man. His influence is undeniable, unmistakable, and uninterrupted. This is not necessarily a fashion blog...this is a real blog! I say real because when you think of style, you should think of every aspect of the intricacies of that look. Life is a a huge store filled with all the apparel, shoes, and accessories you can sponge to express who you are.

This young man, was a unique addition to my life; He is the only baby I have ever babysitted, and the only pampers I've changed to this day. His growth is important to me, and as passionate as I am about artistic expressions, I am with what I surround him with to sponge into that beautiful brain.
