They don't call these guys the "Legendary Roots Crew" for nothing! One word...consistency; If you haven't coped their new album, (How I Got Over), do your ears and brains a favor and do it!
Hey do any of you all have a Roots moment...let me start off by sharing mines: Random drive to Atlanta, GA to meet with friends at MJQ...ironically the afterspot for the crazy concert we missed earlier that evening...Questlove gets in the dj booth, and plays J-Dilla instrumentals for Black Thought to freestyle to. I'm talking 6 -8 instrumentals, and this guy freestyles through all of them straight, after the last track, Black Thought drops the mic and bounce. Couldn't pay for that one! What's Yours?
